This study aims to compile module indicators based on data interpretation on environmental damage material through matrix-based coding reduction in developing learning media . The study used a descriptive qualitative research design with data sources in the form of curriculum documents based on Learning Outcomes (CP), biology teaching materials, and literature related to data interpretation and inferential skills. The initial module indicators produced 801 unit code that comes from the interaction between aspects of data interpretation, inferential ability, on environmental damage material. The code reduction process aims to simplify various indicators that have similar pedagogical meanings to produce essential indicators that are more systematic, applicable, and relevant in supporting students' data interpretation and inference abilities . This study produced 83 data interpretation-based module indicators that support inferential abilities in environmental damage learning. The research findings indicate that the module indicators developed in the module on environmental damage material have the potential to support data- based reasoning through inference abilities . This study provides initial module indicators for developing biology learning media oriented towards data interpretation in empowering students' inference abilities.
