Edukasi Preventif Hernia Berbasis Video sebagai Strategi Peningkatan Pengetahuan Kesehatan

Latar belakang: Tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat yang terbatas mengenai hernia dapat menyebabkan penundaan diagnosis dan peningkatan risiko komplikasi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan tentang hernia pada masyarakat umum. Metode : penyebaran video edukasi secara daring melalui platform media sosial. Efektivitas intervensi dinilai secara deskriptif nilai pretest dan postest. Hasil : Video Adult Hernia And Surgical Treatment dengan link https://youtu.be/D40npQJXXJw mulai 28 April hingga 1 Mei 2025 dan ditonton oleh 102 orang, 35 partisipan mengisi pretest dan posttest. Nilai rerata pretes adalah 61,6 sedangkan nilai rerata posttest adalah 98,5 menunjukkan kenaikan pengetahuan sebanyak 59,95%. kesimpulan. Kesimpulan : Pengabdian Masyarakat terkait edukasi hernia berbasis video terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat, dilihat dari peningkatan skor posttest.

Abstract
Background: Limited public knowledge about hernias can lead to delayed diagnosis and an increased risk of complications. This community service project aimed to increase general public health knowledge about hernias. Method: The research method involved the online dissemination of an educational video via social media platforms. The effectiveness of the intervention was descriptively assessed using pretest and posttest scores. Results: The video, Adult Hernia And Surgical Treatment, with the link https://youtu.be/D40npQJXXJw, was viewed by 102 people from April 28 to May 1, 2025. A total of 35 participants completed the pretest and posttest. The average pretest score was 61.6, while the average posttest score was 98.5, indicating a knowledge increase of 59.95%. Conclusion: This community service project on video-based hernia education was proven effective in increasing public knowledge, as demonstrated by the increase in posttest scores.
